My Central Australia
A lot of my burmese friends and friends from asia don't know much about Central Australia.
In fact, some might think I am staying in the desert town with nowhere to contact.
It is really remote to most cities of eastcoast Australia but it is very quiet and nice place to stay.
It has so many untouched natural places which is good for camping.
The weather is like Pagan and some of the places and scences really remind me of our Pagan.
The information that I provided in this page is only simple and basic facts about Central Austraila.

Map of Australia
This is a map of Australia showing the location of Northern Territory and Alice Springs.
  Alice Springs (My adopted town)
Alice Springs is located in the 'Heart' of Australia.
In fact,as you can see it on the map of Australia, it is situated very near the center of the Continent.

Ayers Rock

Ayers Rock is probably the most known attraction for Central Australia and most of the people from around the world know My town Alice Springs because of the Ayers Rock(Remember, the Olympic Flame Carrying Journey starts at the foot of the Ayers rock).

Ayers Rock(Uluru) is the largest rock in the world. Uluru rises about 345 metres above the plain. The approximate circumference of the base is about 9 km. The road that goes around the rock is approximately 13 km in length. For the first visit to the rock, this can be breathtaking sight.

There is a misconception that Uluru is just at the doorstep of Alice Springs. The trip to reach Uluru takes approximately 4 hours in a good family car, bus trip take longer.

Flights from Alice Springs are a quick and easy way to get to the rock, with flights only take something like 20 minutes. Arriving at the Rock by air, is a great way to get a view of what it looks like from above.
